I haven't been able to find out where I can buy Olean, and what brands of food have it? A. Olean or Olestra is a fat replacer that the body does not recognize and it therefore goes undigested. It is currently available in some snack foods (potato chips, tortilla chips).  These products do indicate they contain Olean or Olestra on the label. It is not available to purchase as an individual product, only incorporated into some snack foods currently. Olestra can cause stomach pain, gas, and diarrhea.  So you will want to watch portion sizes if you consume these foods.
